Dr. Elizabeth Smith's treatment philosophy includes a strong focus on each patient’s individual treatment needs and goals. She is passionate about utilizing orthodontic treatment to create a stable and functional bite, to enhance facial beauty and harmony, and to improve overall self-esteem. Additionally, she has received training and has an interest in treatment of TMJ disorders and sleep apnea.
Dr. Smith is a Kentucky native. While majoring in biology at Bellarmine University in Louisville, she worked at the Louisville Zoo where she discovered a passion for interacting with children and families. Dr. Smith met her husband Zach while in dental school at the University of Louisville. After receiving her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2018, they both attended orthodontic residency at Saint Louis University. There, she was trained in aligner therapy and orthodontic braces, as well as micro-esthetics, craniofacial deformities, and cleft palate treatment.
Dr. Smith has been creating beautiful smiles in Billings, Montana, since 2020. She and her husband decided they would move closer to home after welcoming the birth of their first child in 2021. The couple enjoys attending concerts, hiking, and discovering new restaurants.
